Itinerary :

Day 1: Auckland: On arrival in Auckland, collect your rental vehicle and self drive to hotel & check-in. Overnight in Auckland.

Day 2: Auckland – Waitomo – Hobbiton – Rotorua: Today, journey through the rolling green hills of Waitomo and enjoy a tour through an underground wonderland of caves decorated with galaxies of glowworms. Later, continue to Matamata for a charming tour of unique, character Hobbit homes, gardens and the watering hole just as you see in the movies. Finishing off a visually fulfilling day, proceed to Rotorua. Overnight in Rotorua.

Day 3: Rotorua: Today you’ll visit one of the local geothermal attractions of Waimangu Geothermal Valley before a sensory evening display of Treewalk Nightlights in the forest. Redwoods Nightlights™ is one of New Zealand’s top design led tourism experiences. Overnight in Rotorua.

Day 4: Rotorua- Auckland: Today, you may choose to spend the morning further exploring around the lakes and forests of Rotorua or depart for Auckland to spend the afternoon in the city or out on the harbour. Overnight in Auckland.

Day 5: Auckland: Your tour concludes today with the return of your rental car to Auckland Airport.
