Highlights of Peru and Brazil

Itinerary :

Day 1: Lima: Welcome to Peru! Arrive at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Later head for your Lima ciy tour. Lima was declared Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, walk through Del Amor Park in Miraflores, the Government Palace, the Town Hall, the Cathedral and San Francisco Covent, all of them located at the main square. After the tour head back to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 2: Lima – Cusco: After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and check-in. In the afternoon visit the Archeological Park of Sacsayhuaman, Del Puma Sanctuary, Korikancha Temple, Del Dios Sol Temple, Santo Domingo Church and the main square, where the cathedral is located. Return back to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco. (B)

Day 3: Cusco: After breakfast, arrive at Aguas Calientes by train, then ascend the winding road to Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and declared a Cultural and Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO as it is considered an important religious, political and administrative center of the Inca period. Built in the fifteenth century, Machu Picchu is divided into two large sectors: the agricultural comprising a vast network of artificial terraces, and the urban area, consisting of various buildings and squares, including the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of Three Windows, the Main Temple and the Temple of the Condor. After your lunch, return to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco (B, L)

Day 4: Cusco – Lima – Foz do Iguaçu.: After breakfast, check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima and later proceed for your connecting flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Upon arrival, check-in your hotel and the rest. Overnigt in Foz do Iguacu. (B)

Day 5: Foz do Iguaçu: After breakfast, head to visit the National Park and enjoy the falls on the Brazilian side, the only path that takes us to the viewpoint of Garganta del Diablo. As you walk, you appreciate a view of almost all the falls. Overnight in Foz do Iguacu. (B)

Day 6: Foz do Iguaçu – Rio de Janeiro: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. In the evening you can enjoy a spectacular samba show with the characteristic rhythm of Carnival. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. (B)

Day 7: Rio de Janeiro: After breakfast, head for your city tour where you will visit the most famous sites in the city the statue of Christ the Redeemer, recently chosen as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. From its summit, we enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why this city is known as the “Marvelous City”. After lunch, visit the famous Pão do Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) located at 395 masl (1296 ft.) that has become an icon of the city. From its summit, we are able to glimpse some of the historical sites of the city, such as the cathedral and the municipal theater. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. (B,L)

Day 8: Rio de Janeiro: After breakfast, the entire day is at leisure. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. (B)

Day 9: Rio de Janeiro: After breakfast, check-out of your hotel and head the airport for your departure flight. (B)
